As shared by other mommies from the forum, so went to Suntec baby fair at the exhibition hall.

Bought the Parklon - yellow bear play mat M size (1900mm * 1300mm * 12mm) from the vendor - small small world.. Quite a good deal, I would say as it is $140 with a free bottle of may cleanser + poster..

Initially my fren recommend me to buy the Winnie the Pooh design, S size selling at $130.. but Jason dont like it.. I also prefer the Yellow Bear design as it comes with rainbow yellow bear on one side n alphabet on the other side...

Went to ve a look at the bjorn carrier too.,, decided not to buy since we ve bought a chicco baby carrier earlier this year...

Won a 400g similac milk powder (step 2 - 6 mths & above) & a $5 peony voucher (practically useless to me)..

N finally applied for the passion card at $12 for 5yrs mbrship with a free skechers bowler bag., ;)

Crap! Went to bukit batok CSC to view the Tapestry Room n was utterly disappointed with the guy's attitude n service!
Pissed us off immediately!!
We were trying to talk about the terms n conditions before making the deposit but he doesn't seem the least interested to close the deal!
Fuck lor!
Just when we thought the venue is settled, now we gotta re- source again! :(
Went to view the other rooms available at bukit batok CSC but it doesn't rily meet our needs.


Thereafter proceed to Jurong Safra but the banquet sales coordinator doesn't work on wkends so I gotta to liaise with her on Monday on the possibility to meet up with her on Tuesday since we r off...
Tink Jason now prefers a one-stop service provide with venue n food catering since it saves the hassle n in any case it doesn't provide much cost savings if we were to book venue n catering separately...
Sigh, see how it goes ba..

i have always love December, as it's the season of joy, love & celebration!

so in a way, im happy that Kadelyn is born in the month of December - merry = happy !

moreover, we will all belong to the same FIRE sign under the horoscope category..

Jason is Aries, I'm Leo, and Baby Kadelyn will be Sagittarius.. ;)

i seriously rebuke those senseless remarks from some people, saying that babies born in December will be slow learners, will have a hard time catching up...etc.
seriously, i dont think those born in January are definitely more clever?
why be overly concerned of the child's development and learning progress...
think it's the kiasuism of the parents' mindset...

The price is acceptable but they do not provide delivery n her location is at potong pasir CC so it's pretty inconvenient for us..
Imagine Jason driving all the way down just to collect the cake...
Sigh, now gotta source for other options...

the 3D cakes are so expensive!

and now, i m os uncertain what i want!

a 2-tiered fondant cake?

or a 1-tier fondant, fudge cake?

or some sweet cupcakes?

 

i think cupcakes would save the hassle, and it's much cheaper

but Jason would prefer a full cake, and i oso tink a full cake seems more presentable

sigh, no conclusion.

such a huge relief to have settled the full month celebration venue, buffet caterer and full month cakes for relatives..

so the remaining task would be to self-design / DIY an Invitation Card + source for a cake / cupcakes..

29.11.2011: bb full mth celebration

now that we have a date in mind, it's relatively easier to plan for bb full mth celebration..
Assuming kadelyn is to pop on 19/12 (hoping for no surprises!!), then we will have the full mth celebration on the wkend of 14/1 (preferably Saturday)... it's the tradition to have the full-mth party either earlier or on the actual day, but definitely not later...

sourcing for a venue is quite difficult... it would mk things so much easier if we have a condo function room, then all u ve to do is just to cater buffet, and cakes...
shortlisted some venues, gotta discuss with Jason abt it.. the location, pricing, facilities...etc.

Yeah, happie! managed to find a venue, which is convenient for us, and not too troublesome for those without personal transport...

I have booked the Tapestry Room @ Bukit Batok Civil Service Club on 14th Jan for 5pm-10pm..

it comes with some simple decorations, and free flow drinks throughout the session, and tables & charis for a comfortable sitting of 50pax..

liked the flexibility of being able to use our own caterer!

& additional bonus of a customized banner with bb Kadelyn's pic!

so venue settled, sourcing for buffet catering which is so much easier!!

have many recommendations from frenz on Yeh Lai Siang..

so most likely going for it too..
like the variety they have!

now pendingwill be consolidating the total no. of pax we will be inviting before confirming the order..
