7.9.2011: naming our gal...

7-September-2011

Since both our initials (Jason & Jasline) starts with a J, so we were initially brainstorming on names that begin with a J too..

The only nice name that we both agreed on was Janessa... as the rest of the names are seem so common...
we wanted something unique for our girl...

So, 1 of our mutual friend, suggested using K instead, since in alphabetical order, h,i, J, K..
it bears a meaning that K is the next generation of J...

Jason and I liked this idea... thus we begin to shortlist names..
Amazingly, there were alot more options for K...
e.g. Kaylie, Kathlyn,
but it was 'love-at-first-sight' with the name 'Kadelyn'.. Jason and I just liked this name...
so this was simply how we decided on this name for our girl...

and so, i went to customize the  customized beansprout set (mini pillow + pillow + bolster) with Little Twin Star pillow case & self-embroidered Name for our lil gal.. ♥

as for the chinese name, we havent really come to a conclusion...
Jason and I like the word ‘恩’..
has shortlisted ‘蕊恩’,‘思恩’
but was also considering to let the fengshui master suggest her chinese name based on her birth hours...
tbc...

19.08.2011: the day the gender was revealed~!

19-August-2011

Against all odds, I'm expecting a lil PRINCESS !! ♥♥
U simply can't image hw overjoyed mr. Jason is !! 喜得千金!

He was closed to tears when e sonographer announced it's a girl!!
& I'm officially 'e Queen in da hse !!

Ps: Dr Kee never revealed and confirmed the gender, and we have been looking forward to my detailed scan for the sonographer to confirm the gender (the 3 lines)!!
so it was indeed a very amazing moment when sonographer told us it was a girl as we were all expecting it to be a boy because of my hormone changes! thank God for making our dream come true!

on a more important note, it was discovered that i had some problems with the Uterine Artery.
FYI:
The uterine arteries provide blood to the uterus. Two arteries are present, one on the left and one on the right side of the uterus. Blood from the uterine arteries supplies blood to the muscles of the uterus and the placenta.

Type I. Abnormal Resistance Index

Once the waveforms are obtained and measured, the results are plotted on graphs to determine if blood flow during diastole is normal or abnormal. If the Resistance Index increases to a value above the upper range of normal, this identifies a fetus at risk or who may be undergrown (too small). To determine the Resistance Index the peak of systole (Sys Meas) is divided by the sum of the systolic (Sys Meas) and diastolic measurements (Dias Meas). A value greater than 0.58 is considered to be abnormal. One of the problems with this measurement is a higher false-positive rate than if one uses the presence or absence of notching (see below). For this reason, Dr. DeVore prefers using the presence or absence of a "notch" to determine if the waveform is normal or abnormal.

The resistance index is measured to determine if it is abnormally high. In this example the low diastolic flow results in an abnormal Resistance Index.

in simple terms, there was limitation to the amount of nutrients that can pass from my body to the baby due to the notch (resistance), hence i was given baby aspirin (Cardisprin) medication to be taken every morning, to 'thin' my blood so that more nutirents can pass through....

24.06.2011: 12W5D

<24.06.2011 - 12W5D>
Today when I was at Dr Kee's clinic, I was so happy to see them because it has been 3+ wks since I last saw them that I was practically jumping up n down while Dr Kee was doing the scan. He told Dy n My I've doing gd n will b growing fast as I move into the 2nd tri ! ;)

Then Dy n My bought me for Oscar scan, that's when I got puzzled.. It was a lady sonographer who was doing the scan, and she try to shake Mommy's tummy, I turned around to face them n I scratched my head as I've no idea wat was going on.. They all burst out laughing n I can hear Dy saying he will smack me if I had turn the other way n show my buttock.. ;p

Sonographer suggest Mommy to bring me for a walk n come back later... So Mommy drank some orange juice n explained to me that I got to lie down facing upwards so that they can take specific measurements...
I was a gd bb, I was lying down stretching my legs n playing w my hands; n everything was ok!

I promise Dy n Momy I'll behave in Momy tum, n till I c them again in 4 wks time! Hopefully they will c my gender by then...

Today, it was my first time at Dr Kee’s night clinic, and it’s also Mommy’s first time going to the gynae with me :)
When she saw me bouncing here and there with the pounding heartbeat, she cant hear but exclaimed hw advanced the technology is today!

It’s also the first time Dr Kee gave us a sonogram!

Hope we will have a album where we will paste the sonograms of baby's growing journey!

31.03.2011: when we decided it was time... ;)

Jason and I had our customary wedding on 19/09/2010, and went for our honeymoon in Hokkaido for our White Winter holidays!

We have never thought of having a baby soon...

It was on Jason's birthday 31/03/2011 that we decided perhaps it's time for us to try for one...
i also wanted my mom to be able to witness the arrival of her grandchildren...

and so it was when we decided it was time!
